10-Minute Prep Banana Bread Recipe (Moist, Easy & Family-Friendly)

Moist, sweet, and perfect for families — this easy banana bread recipe is made with ripe bananas and simple pantry staples. A one-bowl favorite that works every single time.

Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup melted butter (salted or unsalted)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar (or granulated sugar)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips, walnuts, or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line or grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir until just combined.
  3. Sprinkle in flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Fold gently until just combined—do not overmix.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts, if using.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for best flavor. Don’t overmix the batter. Add-ins like chocolate chips or walnuts make great variations. To store, wrap tightly and keep at room temp for 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
