Ingredients
- 10-ounce package Ghirardelli Baking Chips (bittersweet, semi-sweet, or milk chocolate)
- 2 pounds fresh strawberries, stems attached
- Optional toppings: crushed nuts, shredded coconut, sprinkles
- White chocolate for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the strawberries and dry them VERY well; chocolate won’t stick to wet strawberries.
- Prepare toppings on small plates and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Melt chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring frequently until smooth.
- Hold each strawberry by the stem, dip into chocolate, twist to remove excess, and optionally coat in toppings.
- For a white chocolate drizzle, dip a fork into melted white chocolate and drizzle over the strawberries.
- Chill in the fridge for about 15 minutes until chocolate sets. Serve or package as gifts.
Notes
Always dry strawberries completely and work in batches for best results. Store in a single layer in the fridge up to 1 day.
