These Chocolate Covered Strawberries are juicy, sweet, and coated in rich, smooth chocolate. Perfect for gifts, holidays, or fun family treats.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 24 strawberries

Ingredients

  • 10-ounce package Ghirardelli Baking Chips (bittersweet, semi-sweet, or milk chocolate)
  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries, stems attached
  • Optional toppings: crushed nuts, shredded coconut, sprinkles
  • White chocolate for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries and dry them VERY well; chocolate won’t stick to wet strawberries.
  2. Prepare toppings on small plates and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  3. Melt chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring frequently until smooth.
  4. Hold each strawberry by the stem, dip into chocolate, twist to remove excess, and optionally coat in toppings.
  5. For a white chocolate drizzle, dip a fork into melted white chocolate and drizzle over the strawberries.
  6. Chill in the fridge for about 15 minutes until chocolate sets. Serve or package as gifts.

Notes

Always dry strawberries completely and work in batches for best results. Store in a single layer in the fridge up to 1 day.
