Ingredients
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tbsp milk (any kind)
- 1 ½ tbsp neutral oil or melted butter
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: 1 tbsp chocolate chips, sprinkles, or mix-ins
Instructions
- In a wide microwave-safe mug, add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well with a fork.
- Add milk, oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth, scraping the bottom of the mug.
- Fold in any optional mix-ins like chocolate chips or sprinkles.
- Microwave for 60–80 seconds, until the top looks set but still soft. Do not overcook.
- Let it cool for 1 minute, then enjoy warm. Add ice cream, whipped cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
Use a wide mug to prevent overflow and create an even texture. Stir batter thoroughly for best results. Every microwave is different — start with 60 seconds and add more only if needed.
